Sweet Potato Pie

40 oz canned sweet potatoes
½ c half and half
3 eggs
¼ c granulated sugar
4 TB butter, melted
½ tsp salt
½ tsp nutmeg
1 tsp cinnamon
  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Drain yams and mash with fork or ricer
  3. In a bowl, combine yams, half and half and eggs
  4. Mix in sugar, butter and salt
  5. Stir in spices
  6. Pour into pie shell
  7. Bake 45-50 minutes or until a knife inserted into the center comes out clean
