Peanut Butter Banana Cake

Cake
1/2 c butter, softened
1-1/2 c sugar
2 eggs
1 c mashed ripe bananas (2-3)
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 c flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 c milk

Icing
1/3 c creamy peanut butter
1/3 c milk
1-1/2 tsp vanilla extract
3 c powdered sugar
  1. In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy
  2. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition
  3. Beat in bananas and vanilla
  4. Sift together the flour, baking powder and baking soda
  5. Add flour mixture alternating with milk, beating well after each addition
  6. Pour into a greased 9x13" baking pan
  7. Bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes until toothpick inserted near center comes out clean
  8. Cool on wire rack
  9. For frosting, mix peanut butter, milk and vanilla until well blended, then gradually beat in powdered sugar
  10. Spread over cake
